21st ANNUAL CRITICS' CHOICE AWARDS announcement

Announcement by Joey Berlin – BFCA President/BTJA President – 9/30/15 Having done this year’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards show and the Critics’ Choice Television Awards show with our new television partner A&E Networks, the BFCA and its sister organization, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association – or BTJA – have all come to the conclusion that the time has come to combine the shows into one. So on Sunday night, January 17th, we’re going back to our old name and simply presenting the 21st annual Critics’ Choice Awards gala. BFCA and BTJA members will make all the nominations and vote for all the winners in the same categories as we have in the past and we’ll be presenting all the major film and television categories live on air in one glamorous and star-studded TV special. BROAD GREEN PICTURES ’99 HOMES’ THEATRICAL RELEASE ENCOURAGES GOOD DEEDS IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES Phoenix Rescue Mission and Other Charitable Organizations in 20 Cities Around U.S. to Benefit Broad Green Pictures announces the launch of 99 Homes: 99 Good Deeds, a charitable initiative to encourage individuals to perform one good deed to help a member of their community and to underscore the positive impact that even the smallest amounts of assistance can have. The launch comes just ahead of the release of the studio’s upcoming film 99 Homes debuting in theatres on Sept. 25, expanding nationwide Oct. 9. In collaboration with local organizations in 20 cities throughout the United States, Broad Green Pictures will perform 99 good deeds. In Phoenix, Broad Green Pictures has partnered with non-profit charity Phoenix Rescue Mission. To prepare for the holiday season, the Mission is in desperate need of food, water, blankets, clothing, shoes, sleeping bags and monetary donations.

TRUMBO Official Synopsis The successful career of 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo (Bryan Cranston) comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. TRUMBO (directed by Jay Roach) tells the story of his fight against the U.S. government and studio bosses in a war over words and freedom, which entangled everyone in Hollywood from Hedda Hopper (Helen Mirren) and John Wayne to Kirk Douglas and Otto Preminger. The film will be premiering at the Toronto Film Festival next month, before it opens in select theaters November 6.
