'Green Book' Wins Best Picture, 3 other Phoenix Film Critics Society 2018 Awards PHOENIX - DEC. 18, 2018 Phoenix Film Critics Society has announced its 2018 award winners. Peter Farrelly’s "Green Book," captured Best Picture honors, along with three other wins. The drama was honored for Best Actor (Viggo Mortensen), Best Supporting Actor (Mahershala Ali), and Best Screenplay. In number of awards, the film tied with Alfonso Cuarón’s “Roma,” which won Best Foreign Language Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Editing. “Green Book is the movie everyone was talking about to me,” says PFCS President Gayle Bass of the top honoree. “It was the one that everyone seemed to be recommending to their friends.” Lady Gaga received Best Actress for Bradley Cooper’s version of “A Star is Born,” which also took this year’s award for Best Song with “Shallow.” Emma Stone won Best Supporting Actress for her turn in “The Favourite,” which also received the award for

La La Land Wins Best Picture, 6 other Phoenix Film Critics Society 2016 Awards

 Phoenix Film Critics Society has announced its 2016 award winners.  "La La Land," which led the field in nominations, has also garnered the most wins, with 7, including Best Picture, Best Actress for Emma Stone, and Best Director for Damien Chazelle. "Hell or High Water" came in second with three awards, while "Hacksaw Ridge" won two. These are the 17th annual awards for the PFCS. "La La Land's producers have much to sing about as our membership responded to this 21st century musical romance,” said PFCS president Gayle Bass.
